American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Interventional Radiology position requiring circulator experience, conscious sedation skills, and overnight call availability in Louisiana.
Details- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 6:00–18:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
- Rotating weekend schedule: Sat/Sun/Mon or Fri/Sat/Sun rotation, every other weekend coverage required
- Overnight call rotation required
- Average daily census of 5–6 patients per room with a 1:6 staffing ratio
- Floating required within the unit
- Preferred experience with infant and pediatric patient populations
- Epic EMR experience required
- Preferred experience includes Level 1 trauma, neuro IR, scrub, and ICU/ED/telemetry step-down settings
- Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications (AHA): BLS and ACLS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
- Circulator experience required
- Conscious sedation experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Must be able to manage a full workload independently and hit the ground running — not suitable for first-time travelers
- Candidate must live 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Works alongside IR attendings, IR fellows, and radiology residents, with a resident in-house 24/7
- In the event of an emergency or disaster, the unit manager may assign staff to an emergency team with the expectation to remain at the facility until the event passes or to serve on the relief team — candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply
- RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
