American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel contract in Big Spring, TX, requiring prior circulating experience and previous travel nursing experience.
Details- Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
- Day shift schedule, with shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Schedule options include 4x10s, 5x8s, or 3x12s
- On-call is required and rotates between 2 RNs; call covers general surgery and emergency C-sections
- Call rotation schedule: Mon, Tue, Fri–Sun one week, then Wed and Thu the following week, rotating
- 13-week contract
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Prior circulating experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must reside more than 110 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
- Traveler is required to report to the Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo on the first day before resuming the contract at the Big Spring location
- Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid anything that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival, including CBD products
