Specific Needs\n

Required

\n
• 2 years of Surgical Tech experience [REQUIRED]
\n
• BLS certification [REQUIRED]
\n
• One of the following certifications [REQUIRED]:\n
  \n
  • CST – Certified Surgical Technologist
  \n
  • CSA – Certified Surgical Assistant
  \n
  • TS-C – Tech in Surgery-Certified
  \n
  • CORST – Certified Operating Room and Surgical Technician
  \n
\n
• High School Diploma or GED [REQUIRED]
\n
• Neuro/Spine/Crani experience [REQUIRED]
\n
• Surgical instrumentation handling [REQUIRED]
\n
• Aseptic technique [REQUIRED]
\n
• Surgical counts: sponge, sharps, and instruments [REQUIRED]
\n
• Knowledge of medical terminology and metric system [REQUIRED]
\n
• Ability to respond effectively during urgent/emergency situations [REQUIRED]

\n
• Experience with neonatal through geriatric patient populations [PREFERRED]
\n

Key Responsibilities\n

• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
\n
• Assist the surgical team during intra-operative procedures.
\n
• Maintain proper aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures.
\n
• Perform accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts.
\n
• Anticipate surgical team needs and respond appropriately to changing situations.
\n
• Follow professional standards and patient safety practices.
