How you'll make an impact:
MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Finishing Operator 3 on our Folding Gluing machine who considers themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Finishing Operator 3 in the Finishing Department, your journey begins as a Level 1 Operator in the Finishing Department where you will be responsible for supporting the Folder Gluer Operator in setting up tooling, assisting in machine changeovers, and moving loads in and out of the die cutter. Through our Accelerate Training program, you will graduate into a Level 3 Operator which is our highest level!

What will you do in this role?
- As a Level 1-2 Operator you will learn how to feed product into the machine, catch & pack the product, and basic pre-run tasks for the folder gluer machine.
Level 2 Operators have a strong understanding of how the machine runs, recognize quality issues, and has confidence in keeping the machine running. You will further develop your team lead skills while you carefully monitor the entire machine run and the team members working on the Brausse. - Your career path to Folder Gluer Operator Level 3 is close! This is where you embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and run the machine with confidence, ensuring safety for the team members on the machine, managing the pace of the team, and making quality part of your daily conversations.
- Level 3 Operator:
- Set-up Leary detection system.
- Set up and adjust machine for production runs (Make Readies) of various carton shapes achieving a properly folded carton with adequate glue adhesion.
- Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system.
- Record all required run data and keep an accurate time sheet.
- Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of the folder-gluer machine and the gluing & detection system.
- Identify deficiencies of the folder-gluers and gluing & detection systems and request needed parts required in repairs. Assist in repairs as needed.
- Oversee the work throughput and quality of the Folder Gluer Assistants assigned to your machine.
- Other duties as assigned.

- GED or High School Equivalent
Preferred Requirements

- Prior experience in the print industry
- Experience operating machinery in a production setting
The physical requirements and work environment:
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (12 hours per shift).
- Lifting/Carrying: Regularly lift and move materials up to 35-40 lbs.
- Repetitive Motions: Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.
- Visual/Manual Requirements: Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform quality checks.
Environmental Conditions
- Noise Level: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.
- Safety Gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection may be required.
- Other Factors: Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.
Schedule & Work Hours
- Full-time position; standard schedule is 6:pm-6:00am, Monday through Wednesday with occasional overtime as needed.
