Shipping / Receiving Clerk

Pay: Depends On Experience

Shift Hours: 1st Shift 7 AM to 3:30 PM M-F

Summary / General Description:

Preparing parts for shipment, generating packing slips, packing parts, visual inspection and shipping to customers and vendors. Keeping track of stock and inventory to make shipment deadlines.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Read and complete all paperwork and documentation
• Will operate weight scales and count parts accurately
• Notify operations of parts shortages
• Locate, pick and rotate stock according to procedures
• Follow customer packing and shipping requirements and specifications
• Perform final inspection of all parts before shipping, then pack and ship according to requirements
• Notify leader of department when supplies are below adequate level of inventory
• Assist in training other shippers as needed
• Know and use the inventory system to look up information
• Generate packing slips, purchase orders and invoices if needed
• Use of a fork-lift truck
• Maintain departmental housekeeping, safety work standards and accurate inventory levels.
• Perform cycle counting duties

Educational Level:

• High School Diploma / or Equivalent

Previous Experience:

• Prior knowledge of machine work and parts
• Computer skills such as Outlook, Excel, word, ERP systems,
• Maintain positive work relationships with peers and outside vendors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to be able to be on feet for entire shift.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
