Sigmatech is seeking a Mission Protection engineer in Colorado Springs to support the 3rd Test and Evaluation Squadron.
In this position, the mission protection engineer will be responsible for:
• Identifying new and evolving threats for current and future space-based capabilities
• Analyzing denial/deception and Perception Management technique
• Monitoring foreign and domestic space assets to aid in operational and tactical space domain awareness
o Monitoring foreign and domestic space domain awareness capabilities (i.e Governmental Satellite Observers, Blue Force, Non-Governmental Satellite Observers, and International Space Observer Network)
• Protecting the sensitive aspects of missions and/or space system capabilities through the analysis of intelligence data and coordination with external organizations
• Developing, managing, and implementing procedures to mitigate compromise of mission attributes
• Developing findings and recommendations using orbital analysis tools like Satellite Tool Kit (STK) to create scenarios for pre/post mission analysis and briefings
• Developing Pre/Post engagement assessments for:
o Probability of Detection
o Probability of Attribution
o Risk
o Mission Effectiveness
• Coordinating Periodic Signature Measurement Campaigns (RF/Radar/Optical measurement/analysis)
Required:
- BS in a technical/analytical field, MS preferred
- 8 yrs of space/intel operations and experience
- Extensive experience with Microsoft tools
- Advanced briefing and writing skills
Note: Additional space operations / intel operations experience may be considered in lieu of education
Ability to analyze both open source information and Intelligence Community reporting and studies (NSA Pulse, CIA WIRE, NASIC, DIA).
Experience with Satellite Tool Kit used to create scenarios for pre/post mission analysis and briefings.
Previous Special Access Program experience desired
Counter-intelligence polygraph preferred
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
