Job Description
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Shift: Day Shift (4x10 Hours) | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Job SummaryThe Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist provides specialized support for invasive cardiology, vascular, angiography, and interventional procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing procedures, operating imaging equipment, maintaining sterile fields, supporting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have Cath Lab experience, Impella device experience, and strong knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures.
Required QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT (R) Certification.
Active Ohio Radiologic License.
Current AHA BLS Certification.
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
Experience scrubbing and assisting with interventional procedures.
Impella device experience required.
Strong understanding of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced procedural environment.
ACLS Certification.
Peripheral Vascular experience.
Structural Heart procedure experience.
Experience in large-volume hospitals.
Interventional Radiology or Angiography experience.
Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
Perform scrub duties using sterile technique.
Operate imaging and angiography equipment.
Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and specialized equipment.
Monitor patient status and communicate significant changes to the care team.
Maintain hemostasis using closure devices and manual compression techniques.
Perform sheath removal and groin management procedures.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
Apply appropriate radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
Participate in emergency procedures and on-call coverage.
Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
Maintain accurate procedural documentation.
