CONTROLLER | $75K/ Salary | Remote
We are a Christ-centered, leadership driven dental company that is engaged in making a difference in the lives we touch.
Seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a multi-entity organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in multi-entity accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and cash flow management. Experience in healthcare finance is preferred.
This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, overseeing tax filings, K1’s managing payroll compliance, and supporting leadership with financial reporting and analysis across 30+ entities operating in multiple states
Requirements:Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Accounting
- Oversee full-cycle accounting for 30+ entities.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and inter company transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and provide reporting to leadership.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and/or review federal and state tax filings.
- Manage approximately 32 annual business tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements.
- Coordinate with external CPAs and tax professionals.
- Prepare K1's
- Monitor tax law changes affecting company operations.
Multi-Entity Management
- Manage accounting for multi-member LLCs and corporate entities.
- Maintain inter company accounting and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenue across entities.
- Support entity formation, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Intuit ProSeries tax software.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Create financial reports and Excel-based analysis tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Payroll Oversight
- Oversee payroll processing through Paylocity.
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy.
- Monitor payroll tax compliance and filings. Payroll processing is Paylocity that handles all the filing - you over see it and monitors it.
- Ensure employee deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings are properly administered.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting leadership experience.
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting.
- Experience preparing business tax returns (1065 and 1120).
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of cash-basis accounting.
Preferred
- CPA designation.
- Healthcare industry accounting experience.
- Multi-state accounting and tax experience.
- Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
