Responsibilities:

• Verify patient eligibility for insurance plans and government programs.
• Communicate with insurance providers to resolve eligibility issues.
• Maintain accurate records of eligibility status and updates.
• Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits and coverage options.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline the eligibility process.
• Monitor and report on trends in eligibility and coverage challenges.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices for eligibility verification.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare eligibility or insurance verification.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
