CNC Mill Machinist

HiFyve is hiring an Advanced Milling Machinist in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry in Meriden, CT!

Salary: $30+/hour DOE + 15% Shift Differential

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM | Overtime Available

Location: Meriden, CT

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform complete setup and operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Utilize manual machining equipment, including manual mills and lathes, to support production, tooling modifications, prototype work, and special machining projects.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, workholding devices, and machine offsets.
• Manufacture complex components from aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, and other specialty alloys while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and program-related issues.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary offset and tooling adjustments.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace manufacturing requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC milling setup and machining experience.
• Previous manual machining experience, including operation of manual mills and lathes, required.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Proven ability to hold tolerances of ±0.0005" or tighter.
• Proficiency with precision inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
