We are building a brand new location in Princeton, IL and we want you to be part of our opening team! It is one of the most exciting roles to open a store with a great group of people .

What you’ll do (Shift Leader responsibilities) As a Shift Leader, you’ll support the management team by helping run day-to-day operations and leading the team during your shift. You’ll be hands-on and lead by example.

On a typical day, you’ll:

- Coach team members to deliver great customer service (with a Great Big Smile)
- Keep food quality high and consistent with Jersey Mike’s standards
- Help maintain a restaurant that’s noticeably cleaner than others (sanitation + organization)
- Handle cash and follow proper procedures
- Support opening/closing duties as a key holder
- Follow the Learning Management System training program—and help others develop
- Communicate clearly with the GM/AGM/DM about what’s working and what needs attention
- Work with urgency, multitask, and keep the shift running smoothly
- Learn and perform all core stations (including slicing, prep, bread baking, and line execution)
- Lead and manage a crew of 2–5 people during the shift

Qualifications:

Job requirements:
> Must be 18+ (required to operate the slicer)
> Flexible availability (days/nights/weekends)
> Reliable transportation and ability to get to/from work
> Ability to move/transport up to 50 lbs (reasonable accommodations available per ADA)
