Maintenance Mechanic
General Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Maintenance Mechanic for our client's cut-and-sew manufacturing facility. We seek candidates that have experience in textile production machinery, including industrial sewing machines, cutting equipment, pneumatic systems, and conveyors. The position includes will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; background in textiles, apparel, cut-and-sew, or industrial sewing operations is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or electrical systems is a strong plus.
- Physical Capability: Proven ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and work comfortably around moving machinery or within confined spaces throughout a shift.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine inspections, predictive tune-ups, and emergency corrective repairs on industrial sewing lines, cutting systems, and material handling conveyors.
- Root Cause & Safety Enforcement: Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent downtime, ensure all machinery guards, emergency stops, and safety devices function flawlessly.
- Continuous Improvement Collaboration: Work with production supervisors and operators to implement machinery enhancements.
- Facility & Asset Support: Assist with the physical installation, structural modification, and safe relocation of heavy production equipment and support systems across the manufacturing floor.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary
- $20-25/hr or more based on experience.
