SKILLED PUNCH OPERATOR

Summary/Scope of Role:

To manage all functions/aspects of running a Laser Punch,

following job specifications and instructions provided from the set-up of the machine,

testing, QC, to project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independent set up of machine including setting up required tools, exchanging

tools, loading programs, modify programs, reading blueprints, conducting first part

and in-process inspections via blueprints.

• Responsible for machine/program set-up

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and challenges

• Must be able to follow job specifications/travelers, and interpret them

• Must be able to take direction while also self-guide work tasks

• Responsible for initial QC of finished part to ensure quality

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• 1-3 years applicable experience

• Must have experience with laser punch

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and challenges

• Must have experience reading drawings and using inspections tools such as

calipers, tape measures, pin gauges, etc.

• Metal manufacturing/fabrication background

• Welding experience, a plus

• Amada-specific machinery experience, a plus
