Peer Specialist

The Peer Navigator in Emergency Department (Peer Specialist) will work closely within the Emergency Department at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, WY, and the Wyoming ROOTS team to support patients with opioid and substance use disorders. The Peer Specialist will provide peer coaching and facilitate connection to available community peer support, treatment services, and other wellness services within the hospital and in the community. The Peer Specialist will serve as a positive role model and a connection between people in need of treatment and recovery support services, and the providers and systems equipped to offer those services.
