Job Description
Kelley Trucking Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
This role is essential in supporting the successful execution of our construction and infrastructure projects by coordinating schedules, tracking costs, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to support daily operations and project execution
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and compliance
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules
• Monitor project costs, quantities, and budgets to ensure accurate financial tracking
• Track production progress and report on project performance
• Identify risks that could impact budgets or schedules and help develop solutions
• Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities
• Support invoicing and cost tracking in partnership with the accounting team
• Ensure required permits, certifications, and safety documentation are in place
• Help implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and promote a safe work environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 1–3 years of construction or project engineering experience preferred
• Working knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently, and in a team-oriented environment
