Position Summary

St. Michael’s Clinic is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing practice. This individual will work closely with our physician and healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care while helping maintain efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Administer injections, vaccines, and treatments as ordered
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
• Assist with patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Process prescription refill requests
• Manage incoming phone calls, patient messages, and clinical documentation
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
• Assist with chronic care management and remote patient monitoring programs
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Support a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate service

Qualifications

CMA Applicants:

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
• Previous outpatient clinic experience preferred

LPN Applicants:

• Current Louisiana LPN license in good standing
• Previous family medicine or primary care experience preferred

Full-Time

• Monday–Thursday: Day Shift
• Friday: Half Day
• No weekends

Pay

$17–$23 per hour, based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
