Setting: Detox/Residential Treatment Facility
Structure: Per Diem
Pay: $21/hr.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide per diem support at a detox/residential treatment facility in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is ideal for a CNA who is comfortable working with adults in a behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment setting.

The CNA will assist with daily patient care, support the nursing and clinical teams, monitor client needs, and help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals receiving detox and residential treatment services.

Key Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, meals, and general comfort.

Monitor client behavior, presentation, and overall well-being, and report any concerns to nursing or clinical staff.

Take and document vital signs as directed by nursing staff.

Support clients during admissions, discharges, and daily programming as needed.

Assist with routine rounds and safety checks to ensure client safety and facility compliance.

Observe and report changes in client condition, mood, behavior, or withdrawal symptoms.

Provide compassionate, professional support to clients in early recovery.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.

Assist nursing staff with basic care needs and non-clinical support tasks.

Follow all facility policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and documentation standards.

Work collaboratively with nurses, behavioral health staff, therapists, and other members of the treatment team.

Respond appropriately to client needs, emergencies, or crisis situations under facility protocol.


Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

Previous experience in detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or mental health settings preferred.

Must be professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced treatment environment.

Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.

Ability to work with clients in a compassionate, respectful, and trauma-informed manner.

Must be able to follow direction from nursing and clinical leadership.

CPR/BLS certification preferred.
