Job Description: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing the day-to-day preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and fabrication necessary to maintain facility manufacturing machinery including cranes, grinders, furnaces and ovens, lathes, fans, tools, and material movement equipment, etc. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you must have the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and schematics, and technical repair manuals. Must also be required to adhere to local, state, and federal law, company ISO, Quality programs and procedures, company policies, and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and requirements.
- Follow the direction of the Lead Mechanic and Maintenance Manager
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work areas clean and orderly
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all processing\manufacturing equipment: compressors, cranes, grinders, furnaces and ovens, lathes, fans, electric motors, electric tools, hydraulic systems, and facilities maintenance
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees in the facility, both verbally and in writing
- Read and understand mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, diagrams, and technical repair manuals
- Performing unexpected repairs
- Performing assigned duties with little or no supervision or instruction
- Apply knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work
- Operating personnel lifts and material handling tools
- Rigging, lifting, and relocating a variety of complex, heavy machines, equipment, and components
- Knowledge of machines and tools used, including torch\welding equipment, minor electrical work, hydraulics, pneumatics, and hand tools
- Ensures manufacturing processes are capable of producing in the shortest time possible
- Willing to share ideas, techniques, and procedures with coworkers
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and repair as necessary
- Ability to make steel fabrications via measuring, cutting, bending, and welding
- Knowledge in the general repair of processing\manufacturing equipment
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required
- Basic hand tools and sockets up to 3/8” drive is required
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is required
- Be adaptable to a changing work environment, frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
- Willing to work flexible shifts and overtime is a must
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Forklift experience or the ability to be trained is a plus
- Minor construction skills are a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00-$33.00 must have experience and can troubleshooting skills.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
