Facility Maintenance Technician / Pipefitter-Welder
Tucson, AZ
Pay: $35/hr.

We are hiring an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician / Pipefitter-Welder for an industrial utility / treatment plant environment. This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on mechanical maintenance, pipefitting, welding, and repair experience who can troubleshoot equipment, read drawings, and work safely with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair facility and plant equipment
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical plant systems
• Handle pipefitting, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and welding work
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical specs
• Install and repair equipment and support systems
• Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts, scaffolding, and related equipment
• Follow LOTO, PPE, confined space, and industrial safety procedures
• Enter maintenance data into CMMS or other computerized systems

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, pipefitting, or welding
• Strong welding and pipefitting experience required/preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, engines, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong safety mindset in industrial/facility environments
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to use CMMS systems

Preferred

• Trade school or technical certification in mechanical systems, HVAC, fabrication, or related field
• Experience in utility plants, central utility plants, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or similar industrial facilities
• HVAC/mechanical systems experience
