Bilingual Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will play an integral role within a large multidisciplinary team, providing direct patient care to a diverse patient population. This position involves frequent performance of routine clinical procedures such as vital signs monitoring and injections, along with supporting clinical operations and patient education. The Medical Assistant ensures smooth clinical workflow and enhances patient experience by managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and monitor vital signs
• Assist with routine clinical procedures including injections and medical equipment preparation
• Support clinical staff with patient care activities
• Schedule patient appointments and manage related logistics
• Educate patients regarding procedures and care instructions
• Verify insurance information and assist with administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in medical assisting
• Certification in Medical Assisting
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong patient communication skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with clinical procedures
