Personal Care Assistant PCA

PCA (Personal Care Assistance)

Aid Residents with person al grooming, such as hair(wash, dry and style), nails (cut & Clean), teeth, shaving

Assist with dressing, and free from soiled clothing

Assist with getting Resident to bed and out of bed

Assist with feeding, snacks, bed side water and ice daily

Assist with getting Resident to bathroom, using bedside commodes, urinals

Assist with changing bed linens

Med-Tech (Administer Medications - must be certified)

Certified Med-Tech you are delegated to administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties.

Report Med errors, implementing procedures and programs of the facility that seek to determine what medications errors are taking place, when, where and why they occur.

Perform Administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports

Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document any oral and /or topical medications

verify that any medications brought into the facility by a newly admitted Resident are examined and identified by the Physician.

Follow the labeling policies

Assist in documenting and removing medications

Make sure medications are returned to the Pharmacy
