Our client in Ohio is actively seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician for a 248-day assignment, commencing on Sep 28, 2026. This vital role focuses on providing comprehensive primary care services, including patient evaluation, treatment, ordering diagnostics, and managing a variety of cases such as adult primary care, diabetes, hypertension, women's health, and pain management. The schedule typically involves daytime shifts, running from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients.
- Perform patient evaluation and treatment.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and electrocardiographic examinations.
- Prescribe and manage medications effectively.
- Engage in discussions regarding end-of-life preferences and advanced care planning.
- Facilitate and conduct consultations with sub-specialists as needed.
- Manage patient discharge processes, ensuring appropriate follow-up care is arranged.
- Perform minor procedures such as abscess incision and drainage.
- Conduct fecal occult blood testing.
- Manage a diverse range of adult primary care cases, including diabetes, hypertension, women's health, and pain management.
