Forklift Driver

Location: Marion, IA
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift (flexibility required)

Position Overview

Remedy is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Forklift Driver to join an Industrial Recycling operation in Marion, IA. This role focuses on safely and efficiently processing recyclable materials while maintaining accuracy and productivity based on established procedures and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, skid steers, and baling equipment safely and effectively
• Sort plastic materials on a processing line
• De-box materials (including books) into Gaylord boxes
• Cut paper rolls using a roll cutter
• Process Gaylord boxes, including sorting and painting
• Load and unload materials efficiently
• Accurately document processed and transported materials

Performance Expectations

Employees are evaluated based on productivity and accuracy, including:

• Sorting Line: Target of ~15,000 lbs/day
• Material Processing: Tons/pounds per hour
• De-boxing: Pounds per day
• Gaylord Processing: Boxes per hour
• Consistent, error-free work meeting quality standards
