Job Description
Job Description
Are you an experienced Forklift Operator who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment? We are looking for skilled drivers to join our wood processing team. In this role, you won't just be moving pallets in a clean, quiet aisle—you will be handling large, heavy, and variable loads of raw lumber, timber, and finished wood products across our processing plant and outdoor yard.
Safety, precision, and efficiency are our top priorities. If you are a reliable operator who takes pride in a job well done, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do Every Day
Material Handling: Safely load, unload, stack, and move raw logs, processed lumber, bundles of wood, and finished products throughout the plant and yard.
Production Support: Feed raw materials to processing machines and clear finished products from the production lines to keep operations moving smoothly.
Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload flatbeds, trailers, and railcars accurately according to shipping manifests.
Inventory Control: Organize yard inventory, ensuring bundles are stacked securely, labeled correctly, and easily accessible.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections (checking fluids, tires, brakes, and hydraulics) and report any maintenance needs immediately.
Safety Culture: Strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations, plant safety rules, and outdoor yard traffic patterns.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating sit-down industrial forklifts (experience with large-capacity or outdoor forklifts handling oversized/lumber loads is a major plus).
Adaptability: Comfortable working in an industrial plant and outdoor yard environment, which means exposure to sawdust, loud machinery, and changing weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for long periods, frequently climb on and off the forklift, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Reliability: A track record of excellent attendance, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
Competitive weekly pay with overtime opportunities.
Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision).
