We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to the smooth operation of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and electrical components using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
  • Replace or repair vehicle components including brakes, suspensions, alignments, tires, and HVAC systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for quality assurance and compliance.

Skills

  • Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, suspension systems, and powertrain repairs.
  • Experience working with OEM parts catalogs and schematics for accurate repairs.
  • Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical components.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with farm machinery and industrial equipment maintenance requirements.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
