Experienced Welder and Class A CDL Driver -Full Time

Electric City Tooling is seeking a motivated and dependable Welder / Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This full time, dual-role position combines shop and field welding responsibilities with the transportation and delivery of drilling tools, equipment, and materials to project locations.

Salary DOE: $32.00/hr

We are Electric City Tooling – a welding and fabrication shop that produces and repairs high-quality specialized drilling tools, such as core barrels, augers and drilling buckets. Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes to fabricate and repair drill tooling.
• Maintain welding and shop equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport tooling to job sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs.
• Assist with shop operations, equipment maintenance, and general labor as needed.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Welding experience required; certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and physical requirements.
• Experience hauling equipment is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift to 75 pounds and work in both shop and outdoor environments.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to travel as needed.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Welding certifications (ie AWS Certification) preferred

· Current records of continued work experience
