A Forklift Driver (or Operator) safely moves materials, loads/unloads trucks, and manages inventory using forklifts in warehouses or industrial sites, focusing on safety, accuracy, and efficient workflow by performing daily equipment checks, securing loads, and maintaining records for smooth operations and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Operating forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and organize merchandise, pallets, and bulk items.
  • Loading & Unloading: Transporting goods to and from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
  • Inventory Management: Using RF scanners, updating records, and ensuring inventory accuracy by tracking movement and quantity.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Conducting daily equipment inspections (oil, water), reporting defects, adhering to all safety regulations, and keeping the work area clean.
  • Documentation: Completing forms, logging tasks, checking manifests, and reporting damaged goods.

Essential Duties:

  • Transport materials to designated locations.
  • Ensure loads are stable, secure, and correctly stacked.
  • Assist with picking, packing, and preparing shipments.
  • Follow company guidelines and health/safety procedures.
  • Scan codes of products to input data into Company’s computerized system for processing in a productive and accurate manner.
  • Sort scanned product in appropriate container locations.
  • Inspect condition of product and prepare for disposition in accordance with client contract terms.
  • Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
  • Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
  • Transport finished products from the production bays to Warehouse.
  • Accurately record and complete inventory forms and daily reports.
  • Packing finished products into boxes.
  • Stacking products onto wooden pallets.
  • Organizing finished product into requested orders.
  • Preparing, loading, and unloading of product onto delivery trucks.
  • Removal of trash and dumpsters from various areas of production.
  • Sweeping, cleaning, and organizing the Warehouse.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • 3 years of experience driving a Forklift in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid Forklift Certification.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Able to be on your feet for the duration of the shift.
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand on a concrete floor.
  • Able to work in various temperatures / weather.
  • Required to use Safety PPE
