Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated CDL B Flatbed Driver to join one of our transportation teams in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks with manual transmissions, delivering freight across designated routes in Florida, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Duties:

• Safely operate flatbed trucks equipped with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as a mofett
• Deliver freight efficiently along assigned routes, maintaining punctuality and communication with dispatch.
• Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly to ensure optimal operation.
• Secure loads properly on flatbeds, including oversized or specialized cargo
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and clients during loading and unloading processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow company safety protocols consistently to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks is essential.
• Prior truck driving experience, particularly with flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailers preferred.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load securing, load & unload operations, and proper documentation.
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks as needed.
• Familiarity with route driving, GPS navigation systems, and traffic regulations across Florida.
• Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and long hours on the road.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
