About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Englewood, Colorado, 80110!
RN – ICU Charge Float Pool
Assignment Details:
- 13-week travel assignment
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend requirement: 6–9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
- Holiday rotation may be required
- Rare call/standby requirements during low census
- Schedule released 4–6 weeks in advance
- Travelers must be flexible and able to float throughout the assigned region and across various acuity levels
Floating Requirements:
- ICU
- PCU/Step-Down
- Med-Surg/Telemetry units as needed
Patient Ratios:
- Typically 1:1–1:2 based on acuity
- May flex to 1:3 when appropriate

Requirements
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Prior Charge Nurse experience required
- First-time travelers must have 3+ years of ICU experience and EPIC charting experience
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical care background with the ability to manage high-acuity patients
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen, and respiratory management
- Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythms
- Comfortable responding to Code Blue and Rapid Response events
- Must be proficient in titrating critical care medications
Common Patient Population:
- Medical ICU patients
- Surgical ICU patients
- Trauma ICU patients
- Cardiovascular ICU patients
- High-acuity critical care patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
Required Skills:
- Management of critically ill adult patients
- Titration of vasoactive and critical care drips including:
- Pressors
- Sedation medications
- Paralytics
- Antiarrhythmics
- Heparin
- Insulin
- Other ICU infusions
- Experience caring for patients requiring:
- CRRT
- IABP
- Impella
- Mechanical ventilation
- Strong leadership and charge nurse responsibilities
