The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced People Relations Professional / Investigator to join our Human Resources team! The successful candidate will provide professional support in people relations and special projects. The People Relations Professional will be responsible for responding to employee concerns in a timely, objective, fair and thorough manner. The People Relations Professional will assess the issue and determine next steps. The People Relations Professional will lead the investigation which will include planning the investigation, conducting the interviews, gathering evidence, analyzing investigative findings, engage with subject matter experts, write a thorough investigative report and will report out the findings to the decision makers. The People Relations Professional plays a critical role in creating a great place to work by instilling confidence in the managers and employees that they are unbiased and neutral in responding to employee relations issues and concerns. Additional opportunities include:
- Conductinginvestigations that have varying levels of difficulty and sensitivity.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate account of investigation with timely memorialization of the notes and supporting documents into the case management system.
- Assumingownership of cases assigned and monitors the progress of cases to ensure timely resolution.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience producing professional reports
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex issues
- Demonstrated experience in solving issues and understanding compliance standards
- Strong investigation skills and a comprehensive knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations including Title VII, ADA,FMLA,NLRA,and FLSA
- Ability to collaborate and maintainexcellent working relationships by providing regular status updates to key stakeholdersand maintainingcontact until case has been closed
- Experience utilizinga professional and customer-focused approach to handling customerinquiries

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
