Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Certified Public Accountant to join our established and respected practice. This full-time, on-site position will support the firm’s attorneys and clients in matters involving estate planning, probate, trust administration, and tax-related strategies.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned CPA with a minimum of 5 years of experience, comfortable working directly with clients and leading internal accounting support, while collaborating with attorneys on complex financial and planning matters. This individual will play a key role in both client service and internal team oversight.
Compensation:$125,000 - $150,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax and estate planning engagements, ensuring client needs are met with precision and care.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys to develop comprehensive financial strategies that align with client goals.
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on tax-related matters, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and estate planning trends to keep our strategies innovative and effective.
- Facilitate client meetings, presenting financial plans and strategies with clarity and confidence to build trust and rapport.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Illinois.
- Experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration with a minimum of five years in a CPA role.
- Ability to prepare and review fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax returns, and individual tax filings with precision.
- Proven track record of advising on tax implications related to wealth transfer, inheritance, and long-term planning.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with attorneys and develop comprehensive planning strategies.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex information to clients, beneficiaries, and other professionals.
- Leadership experience in overseeing, mentoring, and guiding junior CPAs and accounting staff to success.
