Job Title: General Labor

Job Description

This position supports both plumbing and HVAC teams on new commercial construction projects by performing a variety of general labor tasks, including site cleanup, material handling, and basic drilling work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain construction sites to ensure a safe and organized work area.
• Move and stage materials around the site to support plumbing and HVAC activities.
• Drill holes using simple hand drills as directed by supervisors or skilled tradespeople.
• Assist plumbing team members with basic tasks and preparation work as needed.
• Support HVAC team members by handling tools, materials, and simple setup tasks.
• Use hand tools safely and correctly in accordance with site procedures and instructions.
• Follow directions from lead technicians and tradespeople to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Comply with all site safety rules, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at the end of each shift.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in a construction or general labor setting.
• Ability to perform site cleanup and general labor tasks in a commercial construction environment.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools safely and effectively.
• Capability to operate simple drills to create holes as directed.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and carry materials around a construction site.
• Willingness to assist both plumbing and HVAC teams with daily tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic in a field-based role.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team on active job sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Interest in plumbing, HVAC, or other skilled trades.
• Motivation to learn new skills and grow into advanced roles over time.
• Comfort working on new build commercial construction projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewiston, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
