2nd Shift Maintenance Tech

2:30pm to 1:00am, Monday to Thursday + OT as needed on Friday

This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe and efficient operations across mixing, pumping, filling, and packaging systems. This position is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical aptitude who are looking to grow into a skilled industrial maintenance role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including mixers, pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, rotor-stator), conveyors, fillers, and packaging machinery
• Perform routine maintenance on motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, seals, valves, and bearings
• Support basic electrical troubleshooting (e.g., sensors, limit switches, motor starters, VFDs — as trained)
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist in restoring operations quickly and safely
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, inspections, adjustments, and part replacements
• Follow preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and identify early signs of wear or equipment failure
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and OSHA guidelines
• Accurately document maintenance work using logs or CMMS systems
• Communicate equipment issues clearly with supervisors and production teams

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial maintenance skills
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred (but not required):

• Prior experience in manufacturing or maintenance
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment
• Exposure to electrical troubleshooting
