Job Description
This role supports the production painting process by preparing, painting, and inspecting parts used in industrial applications. You will work with paints, acetone, and industrial equipment to coat blades and molds according to detailed job orders and standard operating procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and PPE guidelines, and the ability to work effectively on a fast-paced production line.
Responsibilities
- Paint parts and cover molds according to job specifications and instructions.
- Read job orders to determine the required paint colors and specifications for blades.
- Mix paint using acetone and water, and determine the correct number of colors needed for each job.
- Operate a spray gun to apply paint to blades and other components in a consistent and controlled manner.
- Follow training, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job orders to perform all tasks accurately.
- Inspect materials being produced or packed and perform required tests as defined in standard operating procedures.
- Identify and report any issues, defects, or irregularities in materials or processes to the supervisor promptly.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution.
- Meet production goals and timelines while maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by assisting in other production or general labor tasks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to PPE requirements, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots, at all times in the work area.
- Work in and around a paint booth environment, including paint prep and cleanup activities.
- Ability to work with paint, acetone, and related industrial chemicals without discomfort.
- Willingness to get dirty and work in a hands-on, industrial production environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in production or construction environments.
- Ability to read and follow job orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Capability to operate or learn to operate spray guns and related painting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail when mixing paint and inspecting finished products.
- Ability to adhere to strict PPE guidelines, including consistent use of gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while meeting production targets.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform general labor tasks.
- Previous experience with industrial painting, spray painting, or paint prep is a strong plus.
- Experience working in a paint booth, powder coat, or industrial paint manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with industrial production processes and quality checks.
- Ownership of steel-toed boots suitable for industrial work.
- Experience in general labor, construction, or industrial settings.
- Willingness to train on a different shift initially to learn processes and procedures.

Work Environment
This role is based in an industrial production facility with a dedicated paint booth environment. You will regularly work with paints, acetone, and other industrial materials, and must be comfortable with paint-related smells and getting dirty. The position is for a second shift schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with openness to overtime as needed. Initial training may take place on first shift for a few weeks to ensure proper onboarding and skill development. The work requires strict adherence to personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots, and involves standing, moving, and performing hands-on tasks throughout the shift in a fast-paced production setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
