Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This onsite Physical Therapist opportunity offers the chance to work 2-3 days per week, collaborating closely with dedicated educators and staff to foster positive outcomes for children. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain before start date)
  • Previous experience providing pediatric PT services in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation requirements
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies to a diverse student population and wide range of needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite evaluations and therapeutic interventions for students (Pre-K through high school)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and related professionals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates for assigned students
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and district policies
  • Educate families, teachers, and staff on carryover activities and strategies to maximize student success in and out of the classroom
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment

This contract position provides the flexibility of a part-time schedule (2-3 days/week) throughout the full school year, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a difference.
