Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Situated in a collaborative, student-centered community, this summer assignment runs from early July to the end of the month, M–Th from approximately 8:15am–11:45am, with the exciting potential to continue for the 2026–2027 academic year (standard full-time school hours).

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid and current Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching diverse learners in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
• Exceptional communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and adaptive learning space
• Team-oriented, flexible, and eager to collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with varied learning challenges
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual goals
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress and engagement
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to adapt instructional strategies
• Maintain compliance with educational standards and uphold best practices in special education
• Participate in scheduled inservice training before the start of the instructional period
