Special Education Teacher in Eagle, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field
• Must hold or be eligible for appropriate state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with early childhood or PreK students highly valued
• Strong understanding of IEP development, data collection, and individualized instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations as assigned

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to early childhood and PreK students, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and assess IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Foster positive classroom environments that promote social and emotional development
• Monitor, record, and communicate student progress toward goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver holistic support
• Engage families as partners in their children’s educational journey

This role offers a structured weekday schedule, with hours from 7:30am–3:30pm, and the chance to connect with a broad community of educators and students. You’ll be working with a manageable caseload of 10–20 students, ensuring you can provide meaningful, individualized attention.
