Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in their educational journey as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity spans from August 4th, 2026 through May 27th, 2027, covering both pre and post-planning days.

You’ll provide services at school locations in the Simpsonville and/or Greer area. With a two-day-per-week schedule (7.5 hours each day), this role allows for both professional fulfillment and work-life balance. The typical caseload includes seeing 8-10 students each day, offering approximately 30-minute direct service sessions per student. An available OTR supervisor within the district offers guidance and support throughout your assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active South Carolina COTA License (required)
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
  • Capability to manage flexible caseloads and adapt to fluctuating school site needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and collaboration with OT team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions in accordance with student IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with OTR supervisor and school staff to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress notes
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and educational professionals
  • Participate in planning meetings as needed
