Job Description
A highly respected litigation firm in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its growing team.
The firm represents clients ranging from multinational corporations to individuals in complex legal disputes. Its practice includes high-stakes antitrust matters, securities litigation, real estate disputes, and other sophisticated civil litigation. Attorneys have the opportunity to work on both large-scale impact litigation and smaller matters that provide valuable trial experience and professional development.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of litigation experience.
Licensed to practice law in Oregon.
Superior academic credentials required.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Experience drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
Ability to manage client communications and provide legal counsel.
Strong negotiation and case management skills.
Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
Government legal experience preferred.
Prior large law firm experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Represent clients in a variety of litigation matters.
Manage cases through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Negotiate settlements and agreements.
Advise clients on legal strategy and case developments.
Collaborate with attorneys on complex litigation matters.
Participate in court appearances, depositions, and hearings.
