Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (32 hours/week)
Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its Radiology Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MRI professional who enjoys working independently while providing high-quality patient care in a community hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Ensure MRI safety standards and screening protocols are followed.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as required.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report operational issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT certification required.
- Current MRI Registry (ARRT-MR) certification required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting required.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Venipuncture Certification required or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to provide at least two recent supervisory references.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple years of hospital-based MRI experience.
- Experience working in a community hospital environment.
- Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
