Job Description
Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for nursing and administrative duties related to patient care management, including preparing patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs, and maintaining medical records. You will work closely with physicians and assist in their daily functions, ensuring optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Frequently perform nursing and administrative duties related to patient care management.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs and updating medical records.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Administer injections and assist in applying splints and dressings.
- Assist medical providers in preparing for surgical procedures, physicals, and Pap smears.
- Verify patient information by date of birth and full name.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- MA diploma or certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred experience in Pulmonology/Sleep.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
