Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success. This school-based role, focused in the Simpsonville and/or Greer region, calls for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about working in educational settings. The assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and includes both pre- and post-planning days to prepare and wrap up the school year.

You’ll work two days per week, providing essential occupational therapy services for around 8-10 students each day. With access to a dedicated OTR supervisor within the district, you’ll have both the guidance and autonomy needed to make a meaningful impact.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license for South Carolina
  • Prior experience in schools or pediatric therapy settings is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to evolving student needs
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for working with therapists, teachers, and families
  • Reliable and organized, capable of documenting services and progress effectively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy sessions (~30 minutes per student) for a caseload of 8-10 students per scheduled day
  • Collaborate with supervising OTR and educational staff to align therapeutic goals and strategies
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and documentation as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
  • Foster positive relationships with students, educators, and families
