JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing the comfort and overall experience of our aircraft cabins, helping ensure every passenger enjoys a smooth and comfortable journey. This position will aid in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects that retrofit our existing fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft modification programs, including Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and Service Bulletins. Key

Responsibilities: Aid in aircraft modification and integration projects across different airline fleets from concept through implementation and delivery. Interpret engineering drawings and third-party work instructions to create Task Card packages that incorporate STCs. Coordinate with internal departments (Maintenance, Supply Chain, Flight Ops, Fleet Engineering) and external partners (OEMs, MROs, vendors) to ensure effective execution of engineering projects. Ensure projects are completed in accordance with FAA regulations, airline policies, and industry standards. Create meeting materials and leading design reviews to keep stakeholders informed, ensure team alignment, and drive the engineering package to completion. Support development and implementation of modifications involving IFE systems, satellite connectivity, cabin systems, avionics, and structural components. Serve as technical liaison during installations, providing on-site support as needed to resolve engineering issues and ensure quality. Track project progress, proactively identify and resolve issues or delays while keeping stakeholders informed with timely updates.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of project engineering experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of STCs, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives
  • Experience with modifications and retrofits of aircrafts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Part 121 & Part 25 FAA regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with aircraft In-Flight Entertainment and connectivity systems (satellite or Wi-Fi-based).
  •  Familiarity with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft platforms. Specifically, 737, 787, A330 & A321s.
  • Experience with TRAX.
  • Knowledge of configuration control, change management processes, and maintenance program development.
