Outpatient Nurse Practitioner
Location: Wagner, SD 57380
Shift: Sunday to Saturday – 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (approx 40 hr/wk)
Contract Length: 1 year / 1099 Contract
Estimated Start Date: Pending contract award and completion of the onboarding process
Compensation
- Regular Pay Rate: $78 hour
- Weekly Stipend for travelers: $1,246
- Estimated Weekly Gross (based on 40 hours): $4,366
- Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services in a Family Medicine/General Medicine setting. The provider will deliver comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic environment.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within Family Medicine/General Medicine within the past 36 months.
- Current, active, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in at least one U.S. state or territory
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified
- Current BLS certification
- Professional liability insurance
- Computer efficiency required. Preferred Electronic Health Record experience
- Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatments within clinical privileges
- Document patient encounters in the EHR system
- Review diagnostic tests and coordinate follow-up care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and specialty providers
- Follow IHS policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients on treatment plans, disease prevention, and wellness
