Nurse Practitioner
Location: IHS outpatient department - Rosebud, SD 57570
Pay Rate: $75 per hour + $1,246 Travel stipends (if applicable)
Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, excluding federal holidays
Contract Length: 3 months with the option to extend

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the outpatient team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Rosebud, SD. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan while supporting an underserved community through preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness services, and acute outpatient treatment.
Requirements:
- MSN, DNP, or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or ACEN accredited)
- Current national certification (FNP, AGNP, or appropriate specialty) through ANCC or AANPCB
- Current, active, unrestricted NP license in any U.S. state or territory
- DEA Registration with Schedule II–V authority
- Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Experience in rural health, FQHC, IHS, Tribal, or underserved communities preferred
- Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, preventive care, and evidence-based practice guidelines
- Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
