American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Details- Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-bed acute rehabilitation unit within a regional health center
- Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, and wound vac
- Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients
- Uses lift equipment and Meditech EHR
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to Med/Surg as needed
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
- Active Iowa or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- At least 2 years of overall RN experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Meditech experience is a plus
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Travel experience preferred but not required; Med/Surg and LTAC backgrounds will be considered
- Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required as part of onboarding
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
- Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be from within the last 12 months
- Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse) required; no instant or statewide searches accepted
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
