Certification Details
- Position: RN - Med Surg
- Role: RN/LPN
- Specialty: Medical/Surgical
- Facility Department/Cost Center: 5343 (610) MED/SURG
- Number of Openings: 1
- Float Requirements: Yes, to medical detox, ICU, OB or ER (Task assignments for OB and ER), will take low level medsurg overflow patients in ICU with ratio of 1:3
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adults, typically only have 3-4 pediatric patients per year
- Common Equipment: Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo at bedside in every room, Careview, telemetry, Sara Stedy, ARJO lift
- EHR System: Medhost - Clinical Experience
- Supervisor: ICU Director and CNC MS/ICU
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience
- Personality Fit: Professional
- Required Education: Certification/Licensure required to work as an RN or LPN/LVN in Tennessee
Job Details
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License in Tennessee
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years (1-2+ years stated, using higher value)
- Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start date
Job Requirements
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend unless there is a need and will be scheduled more than every other weekend
- Call Requirements: Yes, depending on census, staff is placed on call or floated
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

- Unit: Medical/Surgical
- Number of Beds: 19
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER
- Task assignments for OB and ER
- Low level Medsurg overflow patients in ICU with ratio of 1:3
Unit Specific Information
- Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech stationed at Medsurg nurses station
- Dress Code: Any scrub color allowed; print scrubs are unacceptable
