American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Pulaski, TN, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details- 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit at a 95-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility
- Primarily geriatric and adult patient population; pediatric cases are rare
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo bedside monitoring in every room, Careview, telemetry, Sara Steady, and ARJO lift
- EMR: Medhost (clinical experience preferred)
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Rotating weekends required (every other weekend at minimum; additional weekend shifts possible based on need)
- On-call or float assignments depending on census
- Float requirements include medical detox, ICU, OB, and ER; OB and ER are task assignments only; Med/Surg overflow patients in ICU at a 1:3 ratio
- Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech stationed at the Med/Surg nurses' station
- Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license required)
- Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be obtained prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Must clear the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
- Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable; printed scrubs are not permitted
- Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays
- The facility is part of a regional health system serving southern Tennessee communities
