American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring advanced telemetry experience and a NH or Compact RN license.
Details- 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)
- Every other weekend required
- Placed within the Nursing Float Pool, with potential floating to other units within the facility
- Advanced telemetry experience required, including Cardizem and insulin drips (hyperglycemia management), and Phenobarbital on telemetry
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg or related specialty
- Advanced telemetry experience required
- 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership — managers or charge RNs; no peers or coworkers)
- First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
- Weekly orientation provided
- Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate
