Moderate Support Needs - Secondary Level (6-12)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Spindle is partnering with a school district to hire a Secondary Moderate to Severe teachers for grades 6–12 for next school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized academic instruction in resource and co-taught settings for middle and high school students

• Support students in accessing the general education curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with transition planning components for secondary students

• Collaborate with content-area teachers to co-plan and deliver inclusive instruction

• Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies to address academic and social-emotional goals

Qualifications:

• California Education Specialist Credential – Moderate/Severe Support Needs

• Experience supporting secondary students with learning disabilities, ADHD, or related needs preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and instructional planning skills
